Christopher Nolan became the president of the Directors Guild of America

Christopher Nolan, director of "Oppenheimer" and "Tenet," has been elected president of the Directors Guild of America. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Nolan replaces filmmaker Lesli Linka Glatter in this position. The director called this role the greatest honor of his career. He has been a member of the Guild since 2001 and has served on its national board since 2015.
"Our industry is experiencing enormous changes, and I thank Guild members for entrusting me with this responsibility. I also want to thank President Glatter for her leadership over the past four years. I look forward to collaborating with her and the newly elected Board of Directors," the director shared.
In December 2024, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Christopher Nolan will adapt Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey," which tells the story of Greek mythology character Odysseus' journey home after the Trojan War.
The main roles in the film will be played by famous Hollywood actors Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron.
