Popular myth about sugar debunked

For many years, it was believed that to successfully lose weight, it was necessary to completely eliminate sugar from the diet. However, this common myth was recently debunked by professional dietitian Alena Molchanova in an interview for the YouTube channel of renowned endocrinologist Maxim Kuznetsov.
In her presentation, Molchanova firmly spoke against the radical approach to sugar during a diet. The expert emphasized that it's practically impossible to completely eliminate sugar from the diet, as natural sugars are naturally present in many products, including fruits and vegetables, which are an integral part of healthy eating.
The dietitian noted that there are scientifically based consumption norms established by the World Health Organization. According to these recommendations, 25-30 grams of added sugar is permissible in the daily diet, which allows maintaining a balance between the pleasure of eating and health care.
