Nutritionist warned about dangerous coffee brewing methods

Famous dietitian Rhonda Patrick talked about how the method of coffee preparation can dramatically change its properties and affect health. The expert presented her findings in a video published on the social network X, reports Daily Mail.
According to Patrick, coffee contains beneficial polyphenols that reduce the likelihood of developing dementia and can prevent DNA damage that leads to cancer. However, the beverage also contains fat-soluble diterpenes, which, on the contrary, increase the risk of oncological problems.
The dietitian particularly emphasized the danger of preparation methods where hot water comes into contact with plastic elements, which leads to the formation of toxic compounds. She recommended paying attention to this when choosing a coffee machine and using capsule systems. In addition, Patrick noted that coffee prepared without filtration – for example, in a Turkish coffee pot or French press – has a significantly higher concentration of harmful substances.
