Named an unexpected fruit that accelerates aging

Many fruits are associated with health and longevity, however not everything is so straightforward. Dietitians have named a fruit whose excessive consumption can lead to accelerated aging of the body - and it's grapes.
Why have grapes made it to the list of "suspects"?
At first glance, grapes are a source of vitamins and antioxidants. However, specialists warn: due to the high content of glucose and fructose, especially in sweet varieties, they can provoke an increase in blood sugar levels, accelerating the processes of glycation.
Glycation is a process in which sugar reacts with proteins and disrupts their structure. As a result, skin elasticity suffers, wrinkles appear, and the risk of chronic diseases increases.
What do doctors say?
According to nutritionists, grapes themselves are not harmful if eaten in moderate quantities. The problem arises when they become a regular and excessive part of the diet, especially in combination with a sedentary lifestyle and improper nutrition.
"Considering how much sugar is contained in grapes, especially in dark varieties, regularly overeating them can accelerate age-related changes at the cellular level," specialists note.
What should you do?
Doctors recommend not giving up grapes completely, but limiting portions to no more than 100-150 g per day. It's also worth considering the total sugar consumption in your diet and choosing less sweet fruits - for example, kiwi or grapefruit.
