Named absolute contraindication to butter consumption

The consumption of butter requires special caution, and some categories of people should completely exclude this product from their menu, warns therapist Kristina Zaplavnova. In an interview with NEWS.ru, the specialist detailed the potential risks of this popular product.
According to Zaplavnova's recommendation, the daily allowance of butter should not exceed 5-10 grams. Exceeding this limit can provoke serious health problems, including dangerous conditions such as stroke, heart attack, and pulmonary embolism. "Excessive consumption of butter can lead to the development of obesity, vascular atherosclerosis, and gallstone disease. The main risk factors here are the high caloric content of the product and the significant content of saturated fats, which create a substantial load on the digestive system," explained the medical expert.
The therapist particularly emphasized that people with excess weight, elevated cholesterol levels, as well as those suffering from liver and gallbladder diseases should avoid not only butter itself but also products containing it, including various pastries. According to Zaplavnova, acute pancreatitis is an absolute contraindication to the consumption of butter.
