Named a common mistake that turns healthy apples into poison

Apples are considered one of the most beneficial fruits, but improper consumption can make them dangerous for health. Experts warn: a common mistake that many people make is consuming apple seeds in large quantities.
The fact is that apple seeds contain amygdalin – a substance that transforms into hydrocyanic acid (cyanide) in the body. In small doses, it does not pose a serious threat, but consuming a large number of seeds can cause symptoms of poisoning: dizziness, nausea, weakness, and even seizures.
Specialists recommend thoroughly removing seeds from apples before consumption or consuming them in limited quantities. Otherwise, apples remain a valuable source of vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants that bring enormous benefits to the body.
