Four compelling reasons to include beetroot in your diet

Well-known Swiss dietitian Vanessa Fürstenberger made an unexpected statement about the benefits of ordinary beetroot. In an interview with the international publication Terra, the expert emphasized that this simple root vegetable has outstanding beneficial properties and named four compelling reasons to regularly include it in your diet.
"Beetroot improves blood circulation, saturates the brain with oxygen, provides more energy for workouts and throughout the day, and also supports normal intestinal function," explained Fürstenberger.
According to the European specialist's recommendations, consuming half to one beetroot daily is sufficient for a noticeable improvement in well-being. The dietitian warned about a possible side effect: fecal matter and urine may acquire a reddish tint, which is an absolutely normal phenomenon. However, Fürstenberger made an important caution: people with a tendency to develop kidney stones should exclude beetroot from their diet.
