Dutch scientists revealed the secret of reducing morbidity by 20%

Researchers from Wageningen University (Netherlands) presented impressive results of scientific work demonstrating how simple changes in diet can radically improve the health of the nation. According to the data obtained, if every resident of the country includes just two fruits in their daily diet and excludes processed meat products, by 2050 it will be possible to prevent about 20% of new cases of diabetes, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases.
Statistics show an alarming picture: today the average Dutch person consumes only half of the recommended amount of fruit, while consuming about 40 grams of processed meat daily. In-depth analysis conducted by scientists revealed that completely giving up sausage products and other types of processed meat can prevent up to 22% of new cases of type 2 diabetes and up to 21% of heart diseases.
Equally important was the inclusion of additional fruits in the diet. Regular consumption of two fruits daily combined with a sufficient amount of whole grain products can reduce the risk of stroke by approximately 18% and 10% respectively.
