World Cup 2026 Qualifiers: Azerbaijan will face Iceland

The national team of Azerbaijan, in the fight for a spot in the World Cup, which will be held in 2026, will face the Iceland team in the first match.

Previously, the teams have met only once. The match, which took place in 2008, ended with a score of 1:1.

Note that the game will be officiated by a team of referees from the Netherlands.
