Khamzat Chimaev suffered the first defeat of his career

On May 10, a UFC 328 mixed martial arts tournament was held in Newark (USA). The main event of the tournament was a middleweight title fight between Khamzat Chimaev, representing the UAE, and American Sean Strickland.

As reported by BAKU.WS citing "Championship," the fight lasted all five rounds and ended with Strickland winning by split decision.

Chimaev now has 16 MMA fights on his record — 15 wins and one loss. Strickland has 31 wins and 7 losses. Khamzat suffered his first defeat in his professional career.

As a reminder, in his previous fight, Khamzat defeated Dricus du Plessis by unanimous decision and won the championship belt. Strickland, in turn, knocked out Anthony Hernandez.
