Gasly won the qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1
French racer Pierre Gasly of the Alpine team won the qualifying session of the 13th round of the Formula 1 World Championship 2026 season - the Italian Grand Prix. The event took place at the Monza circuit.

Second place went to British Mercedes driver George Russell. Australian Oscar Piastri (McLaren) finished third. Gasly won a qualifying session for the first time in his career.
Earlier, TASS reported that the overall championship leader, Italian Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), will start the race from the back row of the grid due to a penalty engine change. Antonelli qualified seventh.
The race will take place on Sunday and will start at 5:00 PM Baku time.
