Elgun Kerimli lost to Saksham Phun at the World Championship in Baku

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Elgun Karimli suffered a defeat in his first bout at the U-17 World Championship in Baku.

As Report informs, the athlete competing in the up to 92 kg weight category lost to India's Saksham Phun in the qualification round with a score of 5:5 on the last point scored principle.

The World Championship is being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. Around 700 young wrestlers from more than 60 countries are participating in the competition. Azerbaijan is represented by 29 wrestlers.
