Azerbaijani wrestler became European champion

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Arseniy Dzhioev won a gold medal at the U-23 European Championship held in the Albanian capital Tirana.

As Report informs, the member of the Azerbaijan national team, competing in the 86 kg weight category, defeated French athlete Rahim Magamadov in the final with a score of 9:2.

Aganezer Novruzov (74 kg) lost to Russian Ismail Khaniev in the final and became the silver medalist of the continental championship.

Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg) added another "silver" to the team's collection.
