In the village of Saray in the Absheron district, some areas have been without water supply for more than a week.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this concerns houses located in the "Yeni mehelle" area, on Zarifa Aliyeva Street.

Residents complain about the complete absence of water during the day and the supply of very small amounts of water with low pressure in the evenings.

"There has been no water for 10 days, and no one is informing the population about when it will appear. There was also no prior warning about the interruption of supply. In hot weather, we were left without water," one of the residents told our editorial office.

We contacted the Azerbaijan Water Resources Agency (AWRA) regarding this issue.

In response to BAKU.WS's inquiry, the agency reported that there is a decrease in pressure in the reservoir. For this reason, there are difficulties with water supply to some areas. Currently, the emergency team of the relevant district water utility is taking measures to address the problem.

It was also noted that since the lines in this area were laid by the population in a primitive way, as well as due to connections to a single line beyond the standards, there are obstacles to supplying water with equal pressure to all consumers.
