The historical appearance of Baku will be transformed: an official message has been sent to city residents

Two special commissions have been formed in the capital of Azerbaijan to address the demolition of early 20th century buildings that have lost their functionality and disrupt the architectural harmony of the city.
As Oxu.Az reports, this initiative is being implemented as part of the new General Development Plan for Baku. The commissions have been authorized to purchase and organize resettlement from residential and non-residential properties in the Yasamal district. The project covers an extensive area along Azerbaijan Avenue, Nizami Street, Rza Guliyev Street, Nabat Ashurbekova Street, Mirza Fatali Akhundzade Street, Chingiz Mustafayev Street, and Mirzaaga Aliyev Street. The main goal is to modernize engineering and communication networks and comprehensively improve these urban spaces.
Residents of the specified area need to contact the special commission with their property ownership documents. The commission's office is located on Mirza Fatali Akhundzade Street in the Yasamal district.
A special commission created under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan will monitor the transparency of the entire process.
