Road police addressed drivers

The Main Department of the State Road Police (MD SRP) of Azerbaijan has addressed the population and persons carrying out passenger transportation by vehicles.

As reported by the MD SRP, due to the summer season, there is an increase in passenger transportation in the capital and regions of the country, and violation of rules in this area sometimes leads to serious traffic accidents.

The MD SRP advises individuals and legal entities to try to carry out passenger transportation during daylight hours and only on high-capacity buses that meet modern standards, to provide buses with two drivers on long routes, to strictly control pre-trip medical examinations of drivers and the technical condition of vehicles.

The department noted that the technical condition of vehicles used for illegal transportation is not properly monitored. "In most cases, drivers who do not have the appropriate category and sufficient work experience, as well as those who do not undergo pre-trip medical examinations, are involved in such work," the statement says.
