Popular Baku restaurant temporarily closed after inspection

At the restaurant "Qurd Qapısı", located on M. Mushfig Street in the Yasamal district of Baku and owned by individual Ismailova Fizulet Eldar kyzy, employees of the Food Safety Agency conducted an inspection.
As reported by BAKU.WS, during the inspection, non-compliance with sanitary-technical and sanitary-hygienic requirements was identified, violation of the principle of technological sequence in the processing area, and failure to meet food storage requirements. It was also found that meat products in refrigerators and freezers were stored in conditions that did not protect them from contamination, there was no storage for dry raw materials and changing rooms for staff, and surfaces in contact with food were not covered with easily washable materials.
In addition, during the inspection, it was established that there was no mechanical ventilation system in the food preparation and meat processing area, the integrity of the walls in the processing area was compromised, and there were signs of corrosion on the refrigerator shelves. The staff had not undergone medical examinations and hygienic training, and the meat offered to consumers lacked appropriate accompanying documentation.
Based on the violations, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the owner, temporary restrictions were imposed on the catering establishment's activities for preparing hot dishes in the open area until the deficiencies are eliminated, and mandatory compliance orders were issued. Product samples were taken for laboratory testing. The investigation continues.
