Examination barrier: how will the mass failure of taxi drivers affect trip prices?

On April 24, the State Examination Center (SEC) conducted a test exam for taxi drivers who had undergone special training. However, the results were unexpected - about 200 participants failed to score the passing grade.
This caused concern among the population: would the mass failure lead to a shortage of drivers and, consequently, to an increase in taxi prices?
Commenting on the situation for Bizim.Media, transport expert Aslan Asadov assured that there is no reason to panic.
"This event, on the contrary, will increase the level of responsibility among drivers. Previously, passengers perceived the taxi sector as chaotic and unregulated. Now, real control mechanisms are being implemented, which will only strengthen citizens' trust," he noted.
Responding to the question about possible fare increases, Asadov admitted that such phenomena had occurred before:
"Taxi drivers often adjust prices depending on the situation - this is unavoidable. But I don't think this will become a permanent trend. Over time, such imbalances will disappear."
The expert also expressed confidence that the current reforms in the taxi sector will have a positive effect in the long term.
