Dangerous settlement along the railway line: 543 people face deadly threat daily

161 illegal structures have been identified in the protected zone of the Narimanov-Beyuk Shor railway lines and the Baku passenger railway in the Narimanov district. 543 people living in this zone face serious danger daily.
According to BAKU.WS, the problem of illegal settlement in the protected zone of the Narimanov-Beyuk Shor railway lines and the Baku passenger railway in the Narimanov district, which has continued for years, has taken on a threatening character.
Research shows that these people have gathered from various parts of the country, from 40 cities and districts. Only 12 of them have the status of former forced migrants. Interesting fact: 54 families have homes at other addresses, and 11 people, while not living here themselves, rent out their buildings.
Illegal structures located in the railway's protected zone not only damage the transport infrastructure but also pose a serious threat to the lives of people illegally residing there. It should be noted that high-voltage power lines are located in the protected zone, and living in such a zone causes a number of dangerous diseases, including cancer.
Over the past 3 years, more than 30 people have died or been seriously injured as a result of numerous accidents in this zone. Both children going onto the tracks and fences destroyed in accidents prove the reality of this risk.
In addition, neither ambulances nor fire trucks can access the territory of the illegal settlement. This increases the risk of a catastrophic scale disaster in the event of an emergency.
