Victoria Beckham confessed: "Classmates called me stupid"
Designer Victoria Beckham admitted in the Call Her Daddy podcast that she was bullied during her school years. This was reported by People magazine.
According to Beckham, as a child she was shy and had serious difficulties with studying. In conversation with the host, the designer revealed that she was diagnosed with dyscalculia - a disorder affecting the ability to learn arithmetic. Because of this, classmates often bullied her.
"I had a very hard time with studying. I thought I had dyslexia, but it's actually dyscalculia. As a child, I didn't understand this, and others simply thought I was stupid," Victoria admitted.
She noted that the mockery and humiliation continued during her college years. According to Beckham, it was because of these trials that she became stronger and learned not to react to criticism.
Additionally, the designer shared that from a young age she was different from her peers.
"I didn't fit in with the crowd: when other kids were smoking and hanging out after school, I was going to dance or acting classes. That's why it was always difficult for me to become part of a group," Beckham added.
