Zakir Hasanov met with Hulusi Akar

On April 16, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation headed by a deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, chairman of the parliamentary commission on national defense, former Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

It is reported that in accordance with the protocol, the Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Turkish Parliament made an entry in the "Book of Honorary Guests".

Colonel General Z. Hasanov noted that he was glad to see Turkish guests in Azerbaijan. The Minister emphasized that the sincere relations between the heads of state of the two brotherly countries play a special role in the development of all spheres, including military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

H. Akar, in turn, expressed satisfaction with his first visit to Azerbaijan this year and thanked for the warm reception and hospitality. Noting the importance of mutual visits, the guest especially emphasized that military ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which have reached the level of strategic alliance, are continuously developing.

The meeting included a broad exchange of views on issues of mutual interest, including regional security issues.
