Weekly and monthly railway tickets will be created in Azerbaijan

Work will be carried out to stimulate tourist trips to the regions.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is reflected in the "State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030," approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

It is noted that the stimulation of tourist flow to the regions is envisaged through improving transport accessibility of major tourist destinations in the regions and tourist information services, as well as introducing mechanisms that facilitate the organization and planning of tourist trips.

The planned measures include: improving transport accessibility (quality road, bus, and railway connections) of major tourist destinations located in the regions, improving conditions for organizing tourist travel to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, integrating railway ticket sales into the Global Distribution System (GDS), creating daily, weekly, and monthly railway ticket packages for tourists, offering discounted ticket sales for specific destinations, as well as expanding tourist information services in the regions.
