Vugar Rahimzade: A new chronicle of Nakhchivan's development is being written

A new development model covering the economy, social sphere, infrastructure, and public administration is being formed in Nakhchivan.

This was stated to Report by Member of the Milli Majlis Vugar Rahimzade.

According to him, the socio-economic development of regions is the foundation of the state's economic policy. He noted the importance of developing the non-oil sector and effectively utilizing the potential of the regions.

Rahimzade also emphasized the significance of President Ilham Aliyev's regular trips to the regions and his familiarization with the work being carried out there.

The deputy noted that the large-scale changes in Nakhchivan include the improvement of public administration. According to him, the Constitutional Law on the approval of amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, approved by the president on March 10, 2026, established the legal foundations of a new governance model.

He also recalled the establishment of the Nakhchivan Industrial Park in 2024. The park, covering an area of 310 hectares, will be located in the southwestern part of the city of Nakhchivan, to the south of the Nakhchivan-Sadarak highway. Negotiations are currently underway with potential entrepreneurs for the implementation of projects.

"The visit of the head of state Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to Nakhchivan is a very important, grand page connected with the future of the autonomous republic. In a word, a new chronicle of Nakhchivan's development is being written," Rahimzade said.
