The State Program for the Development of Official Statistics in Azerbaijan for 2026-2030 has been approved

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the approval of the "State Program for the Development of Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030".

As reported by BAKU.WS, the document states:

"Guided by paragraphs 3 and 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in order to develop state programs, strategies, concepts and other similar strategic documents to achieve priorities and goals of state policy in the field of socio-economic development, to monitor their implementation and assess the status of achievement of set goals, to ensure sustainability of statistical data production and development of the national statistical system to meet the needs of users, including relevant state bodies (agencies), in official statistical data against the background of new challenges and growing requirements, I decree:

1. To approve the "State Program for the Development of Official Statistics in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030" (hereinafter - the State Program).

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve issues arising from this order.

3. The State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall:

3.1. coordinate the implementation of measures provided for in the State Program;

3.2. inform the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan once a year on the status of implementation of measures provided for in the State Program.

4. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall carry out appropriate work to provide for the necessary financial resources in the process of annual preparation of the state budget in order to finance the measures outlined in the State Program.

5. The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication shall, based on the order of the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Azerbaijan, monitor and evaluate the implementation of measures provided for in the State Program."
