The President talked about the only statuette in his room

I have a statuette in this room. This statuette stood in Aziz Aliyev's office in Makhachkala. And the Dagestanis preserved it and some time ago gifted it to me.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev during a reception of the prominent public and political figure of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation, Kurban Kurbanov.

"I have no statuettes in this room or in any of my other offices, only one. This is a memory of my grandfather, whom, unfortunately, I do not remember, but who is remembered by historical memory - of both Azerbaijanis and Dagestanis. So there is very much that brings us together, and once again I want to say: the strengthening of fraternal relations between the peoples of Dagestan and Azerbaijan largely depends on the progressive development of the entire Caucasus region," the head of state noted.
