President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, the message states:

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

Dear brother.

Dear brother, I cordially congratulate you on being awarded the international "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity" in Abu Dhabi, and I am pleased to express my best wishes to you.

We regard the awarding of this high and prestigious prize to you, first and foremost, as a clear confirmation of your tireless efforts to ensure sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, and deep respect for your far-sighted and wise foreign policy.

Indeed, the signing by you and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan of the Joint Declaration in Washington on August 8, 2025 became a major event of historic significance on the path to achieving peace.

Your firm decision aimed at resolving the long-standing conflict through political and diplomatic means, as well as your practical efforts to restore equal relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, form strong regional security mechanisms, and develop economic and transport ties deserve the highest appreciation.

Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, you have clearly demonstrated to the entire world an example of how dialogue aimed at peace should be conducted in the interests of the people and the state, how even the most complex issues can be effectively resolved through deeply considered and bold decisions.

Once again, I cordially congratulate you on this high international award, wish you good health, family happiness and well-being, new successes in your highest state activities, and to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan - peace, prosperity and constant progress."
