Rene van der Linden sent a letter to President Ilham Aliyev
Former President of the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands René van der Linden sent a letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:
"Your Excellency, dear Mr. President,
Your leadership and tireless efforts have made a significant contribution to peace, stability and reconciliation in the South Caucasus region.
Therefore, you and the Prime Minister of Armenia have been awarded the prestigious "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity".
As a person who has done everything possible to support the settlement of the conflict in accordance with the norms and principles of international law, I sincerely congratulate you on the high recognition of your significant efforts and achievements on the path to peace.
I wish that this award will serve as an incentive for the peoples of both countries in terms of building good-neighborly relations and sustainable development in the region".
