Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Ilham Aliyev

President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a congratulatory letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Mr. President, dear brother.

On behalf of my people and myself, I cordially congratulate Your Excellency and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the fifth anniversary of Victory in the Patriotic War.

I hope that the constructive steps taken as part of the peace process after this glorious Victory will lead to a long-term agreement. I believe that the peaceful environment in the Caucasus, where stability reigns, will serve the well-being of the entire region and further increase the strategic importance of the Caucasus in world politics.

The progress achieved in the rapid revival and restoration of the liberated native lands deserves high praise.
