Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin visited the industrial park of Aghdam district.

As Report informs, the head of the Belarusian government got acquainted with the activities of the park and its residents.

Currently, 27 business entities are residents of the industrial park and another 5 are non-residents.

Investments in projects in the park are estimated at $148 million, which will create more than 2,100 jobs. Investors have already invested $66 million, creating 649 jobs.

Currently, 9 enterprises are operating in the park. In addition, more than 10 new enterprises are under construction.

It should be noted that the Aghdam Industrial Park was established by Presidential decree on May 28, 2021.

The priority areas of the park's activities include production of construction materials, packaging of agricultural products, preservation of fruits and vegetables, production of meat and dairy products, feed, fertilizers, as well as creation of service facilities, cold storage rooms, etc.

The area of the industrial park is 190 hectares, with more than 70% of the territory already transferred to entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin, who is on an official visit to our country, arrived in the city of Fuzuli on May 6.

As reported by the regional correspondent of AZERTAG, Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin was met by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov at Fuzuli International Airport.

The guest was provided with information about the airport. It was noted that Fuzuli International Airport, called the air gateway to Karabakh, is built to the most modern standards and has the capability to receive any aircraft.

Alexander Turchin was also informed about the destruction in Fuzuli, which was under Armenian occupation for almost 30 years, and about the construction and development work carried out by the Azerbaijani state after the liberation of the district from occupation. During the 30-year occupation, the city of Fuzuli, like other territories, was looted and devastated. All houses, social facilities were destroyed, and farms were ruined.

It was also noted that immediately after the Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, large-scale restoration and development work began in these territories. A residential quarter has been established in the city of Fuzuli, and former internally displaced persons are now returning to their native homes.

In the newly built city, as a gift from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on behalf of the Uzbek people, Mirza Ulugbek Secondary School No. 1 was built, with the educational institution designed for 960 student places.

The Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center built in the city of Fuzuli is a gift from the brotherly Kazakh people. The two-story building has created all conditions for 600 children to receive extracurricular education in several shifts. The center pays special attention to IT startups and the national culture of Azerbaijan, including the art of carpet weaving.

Then Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin departed for Aghdam district.
