Presidential Aide: Reliable Partners Will Be Able to Pay Customs Duties in Installments

In Azerbaijan, reliable partners will be able to pay customs duties in installments.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was announced by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department for Economic Affairs and Innovation Development Policy of the Presidential Administration Shahmar Movsumov at the "Customs Business Forum 2025: Dialogue and Trust" in Baku.

"Within the framework of customs reforms, I would like to especially emphasize the importance of the 'Reliable Partner' concept, approved by the head of state a few days ago. It is aimed at improving customs-business cooperation management, adapting foreign economic activities to the new requirements of international supply chains, and simplifying trade procedures. The document will ensure the protection of business entities' interests, increase revenue areas, and modernize customs services. Within the framework of the concept, business entities are provided with more flexible export mechanisms, the promotion of the Made in Azerbaijan brand on international trading platforms is supported, and national carriers become reliable partners for global companies," he emphasized.

According to Sh. Movsumov, the "Reliable Partner" model applies to economic entities that comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts and effectively use the opportunities provided by the state.

"This strengthens trust in business and stimulates the development of the self-assessment institution. Within the framework of the concept, reliable partners will be provided with the opportunity to pay customs duties in installments, develop support programs, train specialists, and conduct educational events. The application of this concept will increase the competitiveness of Azerbaijani business, expand export opportunities, and strengthen our country's position as a reliable partner in the international trade chain. I hope that this forum will provide detailed information about the 'Reliable Partner' concept and clarify the opportunities it creates for business," he emphasized.
