The "Great Return" program is today the most successfully implemented return program on a global scale.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at a meeting with residents of the Kyarkidzhan settlement of Khankendi city held on December 23.
The head of state noted that all former displaced persons are gradually returning to their ancestral lands, including former displaced persons who have returned to the Kyarkidzhan settlement today, and this return process continues.
Addressing the former internally displaced persons, President Ilham Aliyev said: "You have lived in difficult conditions for many years, experiencing both physical and moral suffering. This has now come to an end, and after 34 years you are returning to your native Kyarkidzhan. This is a great happiness for you and for all our people."
