President Ilham Aliyev: We have been actively engaged in army building for five years

For these five years we have been actively engaged in building the army and, as they say, we haven't rested on our laurels for a day.

As reported by AZERTAJ, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

The head of state emphasized that we should not relax after our glorious Victory: "The Second Karabakh War clearly demonstrated both our advantages and those areas where we must actively work to improve governance, including to achieve better results. Because war, even if it is victorious and as victorious as ours, is always an irreplaceable experience for drawing conclusions. And that's exactly what I proceeded from."
