President Ilham Aliyev visited the Independence Monument in Tashkent
On August 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Independence Monument in Tashkent.
As reported by BAKU.WS, President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at the monument.
It should be noted that this monument was erected in the center of the Yangi Uzbekiston ("New Uzbekistan") complex on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. The Independence Monument is crowned with the image of the Khumai bird with widely spread wings, symbolizing peace, freedom, virtue, and happiness. The monument was designed on the instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
