On August 11, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev gave an interview to Azerbaijan Television during his trip to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
During the conversation, the head of state spoke about the existing transportation problems in the city of Nakhchivan.
"Old buses have been completely taken out of service, and we often see these green buses on the streets of Baku as well. There will be more of them, as their percentage ratio to diesel buses is growing. For the city of Nakhchivan, this problem has been resolved.
I know that there is a problem with intercity and interdistrict transportation. Instructions were given to purchase 217 modern interdistrict buses and put them into service this year and next year," President Ilham Aliyev noted.
