On October 16, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to our country, Abhay Kumar.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the ambassador presented his credentials to the head of our state.

Abhay Kumar said that he would make every effort to develop bilateral relations.

During the conversation, the contacts between the head of our state and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit held in September this year in the city of Bishkek were mentioned.

At the meeting, it was noted that there are millennia-old historical and cultural ties between the Azerbaijani and Indian peoples, and an exchange of views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in various spheres took place.
