On November 14, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation headed by the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda.
As reported by AZERTAG, the meeting touched upon the fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Asian Development Bank, noting the successful implementation of joint projects. It was noted that the Asian Development Bank successfully cooperates with both the Azerbaijani state and the private sector. In this context, joint projects implemented in the oil and gas, electricity, road, railway, agriculture, water supply, wastewater disposal, and other areas were discussed.
During the conversation, it was noted that the successes achieved in Washington in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia also create great opportunities for expanding the transport and transit potential of the region.
The meeting highlighted the importance of communication along the Central Asia-Azerbaijan-Europe route. New projects between our country and the ADB were also discussed, with cooperation issues in expanding the railway and metro line networks, as well as water supply, being considered in this context.
