President Ilham Aliyev approved amendments to laws on internally displaced persons

In Azerbaijan, amendments to the laws "On the Status of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons," "On Social Protection of Internally Displaced Persons and Persons Equated to Them," and the Housing Code have been approved.

As reported by AZERTAJ, the corresponding amendments were signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

In addition, the head of state signed a decree on the application of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 30, 2026, No. 432-VIIQD "On Amendments to the Housing Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On the Status of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons' and 'On Social Protection of Internally Displaced Persons and Persons Equated to Them'," as well as on amendments to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated August 27, 2009, No. 153 "On the Application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On the Approval, Enactment of the Housing Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Related Issues of Legal Regulation'."
