As reported by BAKU.WS, the president signed a law approving the Convention "Strengthening international cooperation in combating certain crimes committed using information and communication technology systems, and in exchanging evidence in electronic form related to serious crimes - UN against Cybercrime".
It should be noted that the Convention establishes unified legal standards for states on the prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of crimes committed using information and communication technologies.
One of the key requirements of the document, consisting of a preamble, 9 chapters and 68 articles, is the implementation of criminal prosecution measures within the framework of legality, proportionality, and judicial oversight.
The Convention simplifies and standardizes mutual legal assistance procedures, which facilitates the acceleration of cooperation between law enforcement agencies.
