Political consultations were held between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg
Political consultations were held in Luxembourg between the ministries of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported this.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the Luxembourg side was led by Director of the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Véronique Dockendorf.
During the consultations, the parties held a broad exchange of views on issues of bilateral cooperation. In this context, the current state and prospects for the development of political ties, cooperation in the consular sphere, economic relations, as well as humanitarian ties in the fields of education, science, and culture were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of mutual visits and contacts within the framework of international events to ensure a sustainable political dialogue.
Issues of interaction within international organizations were discussed, including mutual support of candidacies.
During the consultations, a detailed exchange of views took place on the current situation in the region, the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining efforts in the liberated territories, as well as other international issues of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, F. Rzayev also held a number of business meetings in Luxembourg and participated in roundtable discussions organized at the University of Luxembourg.
