Political consultations were held between Azerbaijan and Germany
Another round of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Germany was held in Baku.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, and the German delegation by the Commissioner of the German Foreign Ministry for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, Niklas Wagner.
The parties discussed the current state of political ties, emphasizing the importance of mutual visits and meetings within the framework of international events. Prospects for cooperation in the economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian spheres were reviewed.
The Azerbaijani side provided information about strategic energy and transport projects being implemented on its initiative. An exchange of views also took place regarding existing plans to expand the legal and contractual framework. The parties paid attention to issues of interaction on international platforms, as well as the development of cooperation within the framework of various international organizations and mutual support of candidacies.
During the consultations, detailed information was provided on the current situation in the region, the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the steps taken toward ensuring sustainable peace, as well as on the large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining work being carried out in the territories liberated from occupation.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on international issues of mutual interest.
