Pashinyan met with the Pope

During a working visit to the Vatican, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.

Pope Leo XIV at the meeting expressed hope that the establishment of peace in the region will mark the beginning of a new stage of cooperation and stability.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the interlocutors discussed the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as humanitarian issues. The Pontiff welcomed the progress made in this direction.
Pashinyan reaffirmed the RA government's commitment to a peaceful agenda for the prosperity and sustainable development of Armenia and the region.
