Paid traffic zones will be created in Baku

The Cabinet of Ministers must prepare and submit to the President of the country proposals on paid traffic zones in the administrative territory of Baku city, as well as on the amount of fees for vehicles entering these zones, within three months.
BAKU.WS reports that this is reflected in the decree signed today by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on some measures to improve the sphere of regular passenger transportation by road.
According to the decree, the government of Azerbaijan must approve the following regulatory legal acts within a month and inform the head of state:
- conditions of the road transport service contract concluded with carriers providing regular passenger transportation by road in administrative territories,
- procedure for calculating and paying subsidies to carriers.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers must resolve other issues arising from the decree.
