New rules for electric transport are being developed in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan plans to update legislation to encourage the use of environmentally friendly transport.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, it is envisaged, in particular, to prepare proposals for amendments to regulatory legal acts in the energy sector. The goal is to eliminate regulatory and administrative barriers and create more favorable conditions for the development of electric transport.
At the same time, steps are being taken to develop electric charging infrastructure. In particular, the development of technical regulations defining requirements for charging devices and the software used in this area is envisaged, as well as the establishment of corresponding standards.
In addition, a draft regulation related to the "Unified Electric Charging Services Platform" information system will be prepared.
It is also planned to develop a regulatory legal act defining the procedure for providing electric charging services.
Another area of focus is vehicle disposal. To increase attractiveness in this field, an analysis of the current situation will be conducted, and appropriate measures to improve the legislation will be implemented.
The preparation of documents for the projects, together with the relevant authorities, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
