New military facilities have been commissioned in Azerbaijan
As instructed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, successful measures continue to strengthen the material and technical base of the Azerbaijani army, improve the living conditions of units, and enhance the professionalism of personnel.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The senior leadership of the Ministry of Defense participated in the opening of administrative buildings of the Engineer-Sapper Center of the Engineering Troops, the Psychological Support Directorate, the Baku Military Center for Psychological Health, and the Legal Directorate. In addition, the ministry's leadership familiarized itself with the work being carried out at the Baku Military College, operating under the National Defense University, and at the Emergency Medical Services department of the ministry's Main Clinical Hospital.
The newly commissioned Engineer-Sapper Center has been equipped with modern simulation systems designed for the training of junior specialists and for conducting mine clearance operations in territories.
After familiarizing themselves with the conditions created on the center's premises, the senior leadership visited the fire station, the guardhouse, the vehicle fleet, the engineering ammunition warehouses, military-technical property warehouses, missile and artillery weapons warehouses, as well as ammunition and clothing supply warehouses. An inspection was conducted of the training sites used in the combat training process at the Engineering Troops training ground.
In addition, the senior leadership was shown engineering weaponry and modern mechanized demining equipment acquired to strengthen the center's material and technical base. Detailed information was provided on the tactical and technical characteristics of these assets and their operational capabilities.
As part of organizational and structural reforms aimed at maintaining a high level of psychological preparedness among the personnel of the Azerbaijani army, the fully renovated administrative buildings of the newly established Psychological Support Directorate and the Baku Military Center for Psychological Health were commissioned.
During the outfitting of the center, the specific requirements of the psychological service were taken into account. Special therapeutic rooms were created to enhance the psychological resilience of personnel and facilitate recovery from post-traumatic conditions, as well as working spaces for the training of military psychologists and the maintenance of methodological documentation.
The center, which is the first institution of its kind in the region and envisages the joint work of military and civilian psychologists, will contribute to the preservation and development of the psychological well-being of Azerbaijani army servicemembers and their family members.
The center is designed to provide the necessary services for individual and group psychotherapy, psychological diagnostics, counseling, post-traumatic and stress rehabilitation, as well as support for the psychological development of children and adolescents.
Subsequently, the defense ministry leadership participated in the opening of the administrative building of the Legal Directorate. The leadership was informed that the Legal Directorate is a structure that regulates various military legal matters and operates in accordance with defense legislation.
The Directorate provides legal consultations to the personnel of the Azerbaijani army, engages in countering war crimes, and regulates matters of international law. The primary objective of the Legal Directorate is to provide legal support for the operations of troops and forces subordinate to the Ministry of Defense and to ensure compliance with current legislation.
