Mikail Jabbarov: Azerbaijan-US relations have reached a strategic level

The meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and the USA, President Donald Trump's sincere attitude towards Ilham Aliyev are the result of recognition of the Azerbaijani President as a great political leader.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov at a special government meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev's visit to the USA.

According to the minister, the fact that Trump called the Azerbaijani people powerful and handed over symbolic keys to the White House indicates that bilateral relations have reached a strategic level.

"Azerbaijan tried for 30 years to peacefully return its lands that were under occupation. Negotiations under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group did not yield results. As a result of the president's far-sighted policy, the political and economic power of our country strengthened. Finally, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the army liberated our lands from occupation," Jabbarov noted.
