In Azerbaijan, the procedure for primary military registration of male citizens has been officially approved.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding decision was signed by the country's Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

According to the new procedure, male citizens of Azerbaijan aged 15 to 18 who turn 15 in the current year are subject to primary military registration. Registration will be carried out at the local main directorates, directorates, departments, and divisions of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription. As part of this process, a primary determination of fitness for compulsory active military service will be conducted, treatment will be organized for individuals deemed temporarily unfit for service, and a conscription resource pool for compulsory active military service will be formed. In addition, electronic notification of parents and the citizens themselves about primary registration is ensured, their rights and obligations are clearly defined, and centralized, secure, and transparent management of the entire process is provided.
