Lukashenko congratulated Trump on the peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his American counterpart Donald Trump on signing the Washington agreements with Azerbaijan and Armenia during their conversation.
As reported by the Telegram channel "Pool Pervogo" (Pool of the First), the Belarusian leader stated this while speaking with journalists.
"I congratulated him on Armenia and Azerbaijan. After all, this is a big plus," noted Lukashenko. "I know what the Zangezur corridor is. It was very necessary to connect [Nakhchivan] with Azerbaijan... No one will be able to oppose this. This is a peace agreement. They [the USA] will help build this corridor through Armenian territory. There will be two regions... Azerbaijan will be connected with its region (Nakhchivan - ed.) not only by air. He [Trump] deserved this. And I congratulated him."
Recall that on August 8, a trilateral summit of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the United States took place in Washington. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, with Donald Trump's mediation, signed a joint declaration consisting of 7 points and initialed an Agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations.
