As part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), held in Baku, a representative of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Environment, Povilas Poderskis, made an important statement regarding urban development policy.

As reported by BAKU.WS, according to him, a stable and predictable investment environment is one of the key conditions for sustainable urban development.

He also emphasized that investments in the housing sector should be directed not only at improving housing affordability but also simultaneously at strengthening climate resilience.

In Poderskis's opinion, aligning these two approaches lays the foundation for more balanced and sustainable development of the cities of the future.
