Kaya Kallas: Iran's strikes on Nakhchivan are completely unacceptable

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas held a conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov amid Iranian drone attacks on Nakhchivan.

She stated this in response to an inquiry from the European bureau of Report.

According to the politician, during the conversation she emphasized the full solidarity of the European Union with the government and people of Azerbaijan.

"The Iranian drone strikes on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan are completely unacceptable. These attacks represent a further escalation by Iran and increase the likelihood of the war spreading beyond the Middle East," Kallas noted.
