President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that he speaks the same language with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and they don't need interpreters.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the President said this in an interview with "Al-Arabiya".
The head of state characterized his Iranian colleague as a very talented person.
"The President of Iran visited Azerbaijan. In fact, he visited Azerbaijan twice. The first time was an official visit. The second time, he attended the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which was held in the liberated Karabakh, in the city of Khankendi. And we have developed very good working relations with him.
Yes, you are absolutely right. He is Azerbaijani. The same blood flows in our veins, we speak the same language, we don't need interpreters. He even demonstrated his knowledge of Azerbaijani poetry here, during one of the public events. And he doesn't need any notes. He is a very talented person," he said.
